Human Resources Manager

The ideal candidate for this role will support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives. They will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices. Policies & Procedures

  • Build Human Resources policies and procedures then recommend it to the executive management for new developments and keep on revising it for better performance of employees.
  • Build, update and share the organizational charts that evaluate the company’s structure and planning.
  • Create and update job descriptions and job guidelines for all positions.

 

Recruitment

  • Forecast hiring needs.
  • Collect information about the duties, responsibilities, necessary skills and outcomes of the new vacancy.
  • Design and post job ads on social media platforms and Universities’ websites to attract qualified candidates for junior and senior positions.
  • Conduct interviews with the selected candidates and shortlist the qualified ones.
  • Select the hire and complete the process by initiating the employment offer with the assistance of the finance department and send it to the applicant accordingly.
  • Set an induction plan for the new hires and follow up with his/her direct manager on the implementation of this plan.

 

Performance Appraisals

  • Write and review the performance appraisal forms to ensure alignment with the job descriptions and job guidelines.
  • Conduct the performance appraisal exercise on Microsoft Forms.
  • Assist the managers during the performance appraisal meetings and offer guidance.
  • Prepare and send an individualized report that summarizes the performance appraisal outcomes with the training needs.

 

 Training & Development

  • Gather the training needs based on the performance appraisals, customer interaction checklist and the needs of the company.
  • Assist in preparing the orientation and training programs of the new hires depending on the departments and responsibilities.
  • Assist in measuring the training impact by developing quizzes, role plays, etc.
  • Assist the CFO with the development of the corporate training budget.
  • Track key recruiting metrics like cost-per-hire and source of hire.
  • Maintain employees’ training records.

 

Personnel Files

  • Collect employees’ documents and make sure that all necessary documents are present in the employees’ files.
  • Handle all leave requests and update the leaves on the NAV system (sick leaves, annual leaves, maternity leaves, etc.).

 

 Employee Relations

  • Manage employees' relations by working to ensure workplace standards are met and that employees’ concerns and requests are addressed.
  • Suggest and arrange recreational facilities and team building activities for employees.
  • Keep the CEO and the executive team informed of significant problems that jeopardize the achievement of company goals, and those that are not being addressed adequately at the line management level.

 

Educational Background and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, HR or related field
  • Retail Industry Background
  • 5+ years' experience in Human Resources
  • Strong recruiting and demonstrated ability to improve talent acquisition strategies
  • Demonstrated expertise training managers and employees
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking and communications skills
  • Attention to detail and good judgement

 

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

  • Experience in Recruiting & Training
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to develop and foster relationships with employees and external contacts
  • Team spirit.
  • English and French are a must.
